This 100% wool hand tufted rug is produced in the Utter Predesh region of Northern India by artisans of Bhadohi. It’s because each rug starts its fabrication in the small workshops of the artisans that rug production in India is recognised as a Cottage Industry. The art of making rugs by hand is still the favoured technique in India and it’s because each hand tufted rug starts as a blank canvas and every tuft of wool is inserted by the hand of the artisan that this rug is proudly labelled an “Indian Cottage Industry Product”.
